Terms & Conditions

1. Likeness and character dolls

Dolls based on real people or recognizable characters can be used only as inspiration and are intended for personal use only. If a doll is intended for public display- such as in museums, exhibitions, or other contexts where the person or character is named, written permission from the person depicted (or their estate/representative) or the creator of the character must be provided.

By requesting a likeness-based doll, you confirm that you have the right to use the reference, and you accept responsibility for any permissions that may be legally required. I trust that you know your materials best, and I create your doll in good faith, based on what you share.

2. Privacy and confidentiality

All photos and personal information provided by the customer are kept strictly confidential. I do not share, post, or discuss your materials with anyone. Your privacy is fully respected.

3. Open communication

This is a nonjudgmental space- please feel free to share any information or ask any questions that you believe will help bring your vision to life. Every detail you offer helps me make a better, more meaningful doll for you.

4. Style and Interpretation

My dolls are not exact replicas. Instead, I aim to create a piece that captures the spirit, energy, and personality of the person or character, while maintaining a soft, natural aesthetic. I intentionally avoid the “uncanny valley” effect by focusing on warmth and artistic interpretation rather than strict realism.

While the dolls are not photorealistic, they do feature a very high level of realism for a cuddly, plush art doll- possibly among the highest available on the market. Please keep in mind that they are not intended to be exact photographic likenesses, but soulful, emotionally expressive interpretations. To understand more about the materials I use and the slow, loving process behind each doll, you can visit the Our Dolls page.

5. Production time

Production timelines vary depending on the level of detail, complexity, material availability, and my current workload. I will provide an estimated timeline after you complete the order questionnaire.

Please note that during busy seasons, such as holidays or periods of high demand, production may take longer than usual. I’ll always do my best to keep you updated and provide realistic timeframes.

6. Shipping

Dolls are shipped via EMS (Express Mail Service) or standard tracked shipping.

Packaging:
Each doll is packed in a discreet, custom-made box that fits postal regulations for your country. The packaging is designed to be weather-resistant and durable, ensuring your doll arrives safely even with rough handling.

Estimated delivery times:

  • Europe: 5–10 business days

  • USA & Canada: 10–20 business days

Customs & duties:
Buyers are responsible for any applicable customs fees or import duties in their country.

If you have any special requests or concerns regarding shipping or packaging, feel free to reach out before purchase.

7. Payment & deposits

A non-refundable consultation fee is required for custom design discussions. This covers the time and care involved in creative planning and is not considered a down payment toward a future doll.
Full payment is required before I begin work on a custom doll. If you need flexible payment options, you may be eligible for PayPal Pay Later at checkout, which allows you to pay in installments while I receive the full amount upfront.

8. Revisions

During the creation process, I may send you updates (if you'd like) for feedback. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage. However, major alterations may not be possible once the doll is finished.

You’re welcome to suggest up to two rounds of small revisions (e.g., tweaking facial expression slightly, adjusting eye color shade or eyebrow shape subtly..) during the build process. Requests to change previously agreed-upon designs or add significant new elements may be subject to additional charges, depending on the nature and timing of the change.

9. Returns & refunds

Due to the personalized nature of custom dolls, I do not accept returns or offer refunds once a piece is completed and shipped. If there is any issue with shipping or damage during transit, please contact me immediately and we’ll resolve it together.

Please note that custom orders cannot be canceled once I have begun working on them, as time, materials, and planning are already invested in the process.

10. Artistic rights

While I do not use your personal reference photos for any other purpose, I reserve the right to share images of the completed doll unless you request otherwise. Some clients prefer to keep their dolls private- especially in the case of memorial or remembrance dolls, healing-related commissions, or deeply personal pieces. If you’d like your finished doll to remain entirely private, please let me know when placing your order.

I occasionally share anonymous work-in-progress photos or videos (such as close-ups of sewing, sculpting, or fabric details) as part of my creative process. These never reveal the finished doll or personal context. However, if your commission is highly personal and you’d prefer that no progress photos be shared at all, I fully understand-just let me know in advance, and your privacy will be completely respected.

Please note that this does not apply to dolls created from my original designs- those pieces are part of my artistic portfolio and may be shared publicly.
